Lawton Bridal Fair

Lawton Bridal Fair
(Journey for the Bride and Groom)

This weekend, we participated in the Lawton Bridal Fair.
It was kind of our Debut...
and what a wonderful time we had!!

We have been excited about this venture since we decided to jump in back in October of 2012
(just 3 short months ago)
but now we are over-joyed and can't wait for the first wedding to take place.
We met so many darling brides-to be, grooms-to-be, and their family and friends!

Here are a few pictures of our booth...
This is the whole set-up

I made a collage of pictures taken at the farm and put them in one of
our old windows.

This is one of our pews that we place under the Blessed Oak tree for ceremonies.

This was our information table with more photos taken at the farm.
These photos were taken by Lisa Bowles of Frozen Weddings (www.frozenweddings.com)

I just love the color of these roses!

We served Sweet Tea to our guests...this is the Sweet Tea station.
Our brides can use this dresser either as a Pre-ceremony drink station
or a cake/dessert table.
**We had a slideshow playing on my Ipad in the blue crate...the Ipad was being used to take this picture!** :)

Sweet Tea for the Bride-to-be and her family!

More peachy-pink roses.  :)

This is the aisle doorway that my husband and our friend built.
My precious husband worked so hard to put this all together...including constructing
the overhang for my chandelier!!!  :) <3

To all of the sweet brides that we met (as well as the ones we have yet to meet),
their friends, and their families...
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your encouragement
and positive feedback!
We cannot wait to be a part of making your dream wedding come to life!

Blessings,
Kim :)

Farm Photo Shoot by Frozen Weddins, LLC

Our First Farm Photo Shoot

After much visualizing and praying, we decided to jump into the wedding business!
We are turning our beautiful family farm into a wedding/event venue.
Blessed Oak Farm has 160 acres of rolling hills, lovely views, beautiful ponds,
trees, cattle, tractors, an old hay barn, and an (approximately) 2500 square foot barn with
a 600 square foot covered outdoor "patio" attached to the side of the barn.

We decided to begin this adventure at the end of October 2012 after being approached
(at a friend's wedding) by another friend, asking if we would consider renting our barn out
 for a wedding.
We were waiting on a word from the Lord and we believed that was it!

It is a work in progress but definitely a labor of love!
My amazing husband has been so supportive in making my vision come to life.
We have grand plans but are taking it a little at a time so check back often to see what's happening!

We had our first professional photo shoot, recently and are so excited about
how beautifully the photos turned out.
Our friend, Lisa Bowles of Frozen Weddings, LLC (www.frozenweddings.com)
did the photography and we are so grateful!

Here are just a few of the lovely photos...
We had this aisle doorway built by a dear friend.
We have purchased 19 wooden pews for the cermony site under the Blessed Oak tree.
This is an antique dresser that I refinished and will allow our brides to use.
I styled this display as inspiration for our brides.
This is a lemonade stand for pre-ceremony refreshments.
These old windows can be decorated with flowers and/or photos of the bride and groom.
